LONDON – The transition to a circular economy has so far made disappointingly little impact on key manufacturing industries, according to a new report by renewable energy consultancy Wood Mackenzie.

The plastics industry - which includes synthetic textiles such as polyester - as well as biofuels and electronics, are held up as sectors where progress has been held back by traditional value chains and business practices.
