ADELAIDE – A research team at Australia’s Flinders University claims to have discovered a new way to break down and remove potentially hazardous textile dyes in wastewater.

A wide range of chemical industries, including textiles, dye manufacture and cosmetics production, release toxic and non-biodegradable dyes into the environment while nearly half of the dyes used in the textile and dye industry are azo dyes.
