VANCOUVER - The 2023 Hot Button report from environmental non-profit Canopy shows a sharp increase in the number of man-made cellulosic fibre (MMCF) manufacturers providing brands with next-generation materials.
Regarded as a key fibre sourcing tool for the fashion sector, this year's report shows a 29% uptick in low-carbon, circular next-gen commercial lines with 71% of the world’s MMCF producers (or 54% of global production) now achieving the organisation's 'green shirt' rating.
