AMSTERDAM - The Clean Clothes Campaign (CCC) and Croatian trade union Novi Sindikat have together filed a complaint against German menswear brand Olymp, the main buyer from the now closed, Croatian state-owned Orljava garment factory.
The complaint, filed with the German National Contact Point for the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), calls for indemnification for the 172 workers that lost their jobs at the time of Orljava’s closure for damage caused by delayed payments and high inflation. It is also calling for mitigation over the financial harm caused to workers.
