MUMBAI – Indian viscose giant Birla Cellulose has announced the launch of a new high strength circular yarn - featuring 50% recycled pre- and post-consumer textile waste - for fabric and garment production.
Birla Cellulose's Circular Yarn Blend has been certified by the Global Recycle Standard (GRS) for PCW (Pre-& Post-Consumer Waste), the Recycled Claim Standard (RCS) and the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).
It also incorporates block chain technology, enabling full traceability of the yarn blend, as well as transparency and accountability throughout the supply chain.
