AMSTERDAM - Fast fashion giant Boohoo has signed the Pakistan Accord garment factory safety programme launched by the International Accord for Health and Safety in the Textile and Garment Industry.
Boohoo, which has been accused of abandoning suppliers in Leicester to replace them with factories in Pakistan, last week became the 77th brand to sign up to the agreement.
A spokesperson for the company told Ecotextile News: “We are pleased to confirm that Boohoo Group has signed the Pakistan Accord, strengthening our commitment to drive up working practices and improve the safety and wellbeing of our suppliers’ garment workers.
