HO CHI MING CITY - DyeCoo's waterless dyeing technology installed by Vietnam-based CleanDye generates 58% lower greenhouse gas emissions than conventional textile dyeing vendors, according to an independent lifecycle assessment (LCA) commissioned by Adidas.
The LCA was commissioned as part of a program with the sportswear giant to identify and certify low carbon textile coloration technologies such as DyeCoo which uses supercritical CO2 fluid as a solvent to replace water in dyeing in a process that eliminates both process chemicals and wastewater as well reducing carbon emissions.
