MELBOURNE - A new research hub has been launched in Australia in a bid to drive new innovations in textile development and support the sustainable manufacturing of fibres.
The Australian Research Council (ARC) has established the ARC Research Hub for Functional and Sustainable Fibres in collaboration with 16 domestic and international partner organisations.
It is led by researchers at Melbourne-based Deakin University and will conduct research across three core themes – sustainability, circular economies and 'extraordinary functionality'.
