SINGAPORE - Textile chemicals supplier DyStar claims significant Scope 1 and 2 reductions in its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in its newly published '2022–2023 Integrated Sustainability Report'.
In the 2022 financial year, DyStar’s Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions totalled 56,907 tons of CO2e, representing a 24% reduction on the previous year and down 66% from its baseline year of 2011.
However, the company admits it still needs to work on its climate impact in Scope 3 - which account for just 7.8% of its overall emissions - and is to review its supply chain to identify areas for tracking, calculation and reporting.
