LONDON - More than 1.5 million pairs of jeans have been redesigned by fashion brands to meet the guidelines of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation’s (EMF) Jeans Redesign project since 2021, according to a new report.
EMF's 'Jeans Redesign Insights report 2021-2023' reveals that it amounts to three times the number made to the strict guidelines on garment durability, material health, recyclability and traceability up to 2021.
More than 100 brands, manufacturers and mills - including Levi’s, Tommy Hilfiger, Primark, American Eagle Outfitters and Marks & Spencer - have signed up to the Jeans Redesign project since it launched in 2019.
