AUGUSTA - The US state of Maine, which was the first to introduce a ban on products containing PFAS, is set to push back new reporting requirements for manufacturers.
Maine's PFAS law, passed in 2021, doesn't apply until 2030 but it required manufacturers to report the presence of PFAS chemicals in products from the start of this year.
However, the state's legislative committee has now voted unanimously to push back the reporting requirement until the start of 2025.
