AUCKLAND - New Zealand government-owned company AsureQuality has been suspended as a certifier of some responsible animal fibre (RAF) standards for the Textile Exchange industry body.
AsureQuality's accreditation to administer the Responsible Wool Standard 2.2 (2021), Responsible Mohair Standard 1.2 (2021), Responsible Alpaca Standard 1.0 (2021) for farm groups has been suspended.
It comes after an annual assessment by the company's authorised independent accreditation body IOAS (International Organic Accreditation Service). It remains accredited for the certification of individual farms for all three standards.
