BILTHOVEN – The Netherlands’ National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) has today released a new report which presents considerations for ensuring chemical product safety, as the country embarks on its mission to adopt a circular economy by the year 2050.

The report states that to meet the 2050 deadline, all raw materials, substances and products should be reused in the same or new applications, and all textile products must contain at least 30% recycled material by 2030 and looks at whether prohibited chemicals can end up in end apparel products through recycling.
