DHAKA - A new study explores a dramatic decline in the number of women working in Bangladesh's garment industry.
Women have traditionally formed the majority of the workforce in Bangladesh which is the world's second biggest exporter of garments, after China.
However, a new study shows that the proportion of women employed by the RMG (readymade garment) sector in Bangladesh has declined from about 80% in the 1980s to less than 54% today.
