KARACHI - More than 30 major fashion companies have now joined the new Pakistan Accord garment factory safety programme launched in December by the International Accord for Health and Safety in the Textile and Garment Industry.
The 33 brands and retailers signing up so far include ASOS, Bestseller, C&A, Carrefour, G-Star RAW, H&M, Hummel, Inditex, John Lewis, KappAhl, Marks & Spencer, Next, Primark, PVH, s.Oliver, Tchibo and Zalando.
The Pakistan Accord on Health and Safety in the Textile and Garment Industry now covers more than 300 textile and garment factories and will serve as a legally-binding agreement for an initial term of three years.
