STOCKHOLM – Swedish innovator Coloreel says its thread dyeing solution cuts water usage by as much as 97 per cent compared to conventional methods, after completing a lifecycle analysis (LCA) of its promising technology.
Coloreel’s system enables on-demand continuous textile dyeing. Integrated within existing industrial embroidery machines, the dye technology operates solely on white yarn and can transition between colours during processing.
An LCA and environmental product declaration (EPD), verified by consulting company Miljögiraff, have been published in the international database Environdec.
