KIGALI – Authorities in Rwanda have presented proposals for a national circular economy action plan as they endeavour to ensure the country is carbon neutral and climate resilient by 2050.
Proposals outlined at the recent World Circular Economy Forum, held in Kigali, addressed key sectors including textiles, agriculture, transport and construction.
Representatives from Rwanda’s Ministry of Environment estimated that around US$211 million in investment would be required to establish the necessary infrastructure over a 14-year period.
