PARIS – At the UN’s ongoing Biodiversity Conference (COP15), fashion giant LVMH – which owns Louis Vuitton and Givenchy – unveiled several new environmental commitments.
Notably, the French clothing company announced that it will be strengthening ties with UNESCO to measure the planetary impact of its operations and joining the Circular Bioeconomy Alliance (CBA) to launch region-specific action plans.
These initiatives are deemed complementary to LVMH’s current Life 360 strategy, through which it has committed to improving sourcing standards, regenerating wildlife habitat and clamping down on the issue of animal welfare.
