YANGON - The IndustriALL global trade union has revealed that it has entered into discussions with brands on a responsible exit from Myanmar because of the deteriorating human rights situation.
IndustriALL, which recently urged all western fashion companies to withdraw from Myanmar, declined to name the brands involved in the talks which also include Myanmar trade unions.
Companies still sourcing from the country - where human rights have rapidly declined following last year's military coup - are believed to include Bestseller, H&M, Inditex, New Look and Regatta.
