BRUSSELS – Technology company Circular.Fashion has joined CIRPASS, a new initiative vying to accelerate the development and deployment of digital product passports (DPPs) on textiles, electronics and batteries.
Funded by the European Commission under its Digital Europe programme, the framework has thus far brought together 30 partners representing thousands of industrial, digital, international, standards and regulatory organisations and NGOs across Europe.
These stakeholders will work together with the view to piloting product passport technologies for each sector next year and ultimately establishing a robust data system that can support item-specific information.
