LONDON - The British Retail Consortium (BRC) has launched a new guideline on selling second-hand and preloved fashion to help retailers better adhere to the principles of a circular economy.
Retailers, resale platforms, charity retailers and other industry experts collaborated in the creation of the BRC's ‘Voluntary Guideline on Second-hand and Preloved Items’.
The guideline outlines the steps that retailers can take to adhere to circular economy principles designed to lengthen the lifecycle of fashion products and keep them out of landfill.
