HONG KONG – Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) has teamed up with local financial services company Hang Seng Bank to co-found the Sustainable Future Challenge in Textiles and Fashion.
The competition encourages students, researchers, industry stakeholders and members of the public to present new solutions that can advance textile recycling, the reuse of discarded clothing and, more broadly, the circular economy.
“PolyU is committed to nurturing innovation and technology talents and encouraging young people to embrace innovative and entrepreneurial mindset to drive change for social good and societal impact,” said the university’s executive vice president, Miranda Lou.
