BRUSSELS – Fashion brand Bershka, of the Inditex Group, has partnered with Belgian material innovator Resortecs to launch a collection using the start-up’s patented Smart Stitch and Smart Disassembly solutions.
Smart Stitch is said to be a heat-dissolvable thread, whilst Smart Disassembly is described as an “industrial oven” capable of taking apart the various components which make up Smart Stitch.
Cédric Vanhoeck, Resortecs’ co-founder commented: “We are thrilled to work with Bershka. Since day one, we’ve been positively surprised by how much their team is committed to the circular transition.”
