VICTORIA – Ecologyst Outfitters, a self-described ‘planet-conscious’ fashion brand, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Frankie Collective, a streetwear manufacturer that upcycles vintage and unsold items into unique pieces.
Frankie’s ethos and offering is deemed complementary to Ecologyst, with “both businesses focused on manufacturing clothing for customers who share the same vision of living in harmony with the planet”, according to the founder and CEO of Ecologyst, Rene Gauthier.
“With the clothing resale market expected to reach US$53 billion by 2023 – outgrowing the fast fashion market – the acquisition of Frankie Collective solidifies our quest to have the world's cleanest supply chain based on environmental consciousness and transparency,” he added.
