LUBBOCK - Textile Exchange has released two new reports outlining progress on its efforts to persuade brands and retailers to increase their sourcing of more sustainable cotton and recycled polyester.
The global non-profit says the annual reports for its 2025 Sustainable Cotton Challenge and its 2025 Recycled Polyester Challenge show how companies are switching towards lower impact versions of two of the most commonly used fibres in the fashion and textile industry.
"Our aim is that these materials replace their conventional counterparts, rather than substitute other fibre categories or justify increased industry growth," it said in a statement.
