MOREE - Nearly 2,000 farms in India, the world's largest cotton growing country, have begun transitioning to the 'climate positive' Good Earth Cotton programme which was first established in Australia.
Good Earth Cotton was pioneered by the Statham family in New South Wales, Australia, who are also founders of the FibreTrace traceability company which embeds luminescent pigments in raw materials.
It claims to employ modern regenerative and smart farming practices to sequester more carbon in the soil than is emitted across the entire cotton growth lifecycle.
