BARCELONA – Spanish fashion brand Mango has announced that the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) has approved its carbon reduction targets, ensuring they align with the latest climate science and the Paris Climate Agreements 1.5oC warming limit.
Mango has committed to reducing its scope one and two emissions by 80 per cent and its scope three emissions by 35 per cent by 2030. The company also hopes to achieve net zero emissions by 2050.
Toni Ruiz, CEO of the firm, said: “It is excellent news for Mango that an internationally-recognised organisation like the SBTi has ratified and trusts in the our company's emissions reduction targets... now it is time for us to put all the necessary resources into achieving our annual targets in the short and long term, and to minimise our impact on the environment”
