MONTEMURLO - A life-cycle assessment (LCA) of Italian textile company Manteco's MWool recycled wool has concluded that its environmental impact is 60 per cent lower than that of virgin fibres.
The LCA study, by scientists at the Polytechnic University of Turin, has been published in the Resources peer-reviewed scientific journal.
MWool is said to be the world's first recycled wool to undergo an LCA assessment to calculate its overall environmental impact, according to Manteco.
