RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK – The Conscious Fashion and Lifestyle Network – which comprises industry stakeholders, as well as government and United Nations entities – has entered a collaboration with chemistry company BASF’s e3 sustainable cotton programme to learn more about supply chain traceability and transparency.
The programme’s cotton farmers grow materials using ‘sustainable’ agricultural methods which are then third-party verified and traced throughout fashion supply chains.
“The e3 programme’s mission and goals are aligned with ours to educate and accelerate impact, making them an ideal partner to spark conversation and evoke positive change,” said Kelly Bannigan, co-founder of the Conscious Fashion and Lifestyle Network.
