PARIS – Luxury fashion group SMCP has partnered with traceability solutions start-up Fairly Made as it looks to improve transparency within its ranks.  

The company – which owns Parisian brands Sandro, Maje, Claudie Pierlot and Fursac – will trial QR codes on its products that consumers will be able to scan in-store and learn more about, and has vowed to apply the technology to its entire range by 2025.  

“This project will enable us to provide our customers with greater transparency regarding the traceability of our products,” noted SMCP’s chief executive, Isabelle Guichot. “It will also be a valuable tool for analysing and optimising our sourcing around the world.”
