NEW YORK - A new digital platorm has been launched with the ambition of improving labour practices and working conditions in garment factories in Bangladesh and India.
FairCapacity - which includes free access to new digital tools and training - has been developed by the Social Accountability International (SAI) human rights NGO, in partnership with technology company Vertru.
It aims to help garment manufacturers prevent risks of excessive overtime, unauthorised subcontracting, forced labour, health and safety issues, employee burnout, absenteeism and lower productivity.
