MEMPHIS – Fashion conglomerate PVH Corp, which owns the likes of Tommy Hilfiger and Calvin Klein, has joined the US Cotton Trust Protocol.
Launched to verify sustainability progress through data collection and third-party cooperation, the protocol aligns brands and growers of US cotton in best measuring their impacts across six areas: water use, greenhouse gas emissions, energy use, soil carbon, soil loss and land use efficiency.
Marissa Pagnani McGowan, PVH’s chief sustainability officer, commented: “Joining the trust protocol helps us move forward in reaching our sustainability goals and driving continuous improvements in sustainable cotton sourcing for our brands and at scale for the industry.
