ZURICH - Testing and certification organisation Oeko-Tex has revealed that the number of certificates and labels issued under its Made in Green sustainability programme more than doubled last year despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
The company's 2020/21 annual report reveals that it issued 5,840 Made in Green certificates and labels - a 108 per cent increase on the previous 12 months - making it Oeko-Tex's fastest growing certification.
Made in Green is a traceable label which verifies that textile and leather products have been tested for harmful substances, and manufactured using sustainable processes under socially-responsible conditions.
