NEW YORK - US footwear brand Allbirds is being sued in court by consumers who claim the company's marketing messages exaggerate its sustainability credentials.
Accusing the company of violating consumer protection laws, lead plaintiff Patricia Dwyer says she and other consumers paid over the odds for Allbirds shoes because of false advertising.
In a complaint filed at the US District Court for the Southern District of New York, she says Allbirds has become a billion dollar company on the back of its sustainability claims.
