CALIFORNIA – US apparel brand PacSun has entered the footwear resale market as it looks to capitalise on growing appetite for secondhand fashion.
The company’s PS Reserve service launches to cut out the “middleman authentication process” many third-party platforms have, and capitalise on future sales made beyond the initial purchase.
“We know that we need to deliver a compelling footwear assortment in addition to our great apparel offering,” said PacSun VP of men’s merchandising, Richard Cox. “The resale market has really changed the footwear industry, and we have been thinking about how to best participate in that evolution through our own lens, in an elevated and authentic way.”
