NEW YORK – Accelerating Circularity has announced that it has begun the testing of commercial textile-to-textile supply systems in the US with financial support from Walmart.
The initiative, which aims to speed up the textile industry’s move from linear to circular ways of working, says the trials will be built on models presented in its 'Modeling and Linking Report' earlier this year.
They aim to move 'spent' textiles through an entire circular system, from collection, sorting, pre-processing, fibre production, yarn spinning and fabric production, through product design, manufacture, marketing and retail.
