BERLIN - European online retailer Zalando has published its first sustainability progress report in which it outlines plans to increase the proportion of sustainable products available on its platform.
Zalando is raising its target of 'gross merchandise volume' (GMV) generated by more sustainable products from 20 to 25 per cent by 2023, and also raising the bar on what constitutes a sustainable product.
So far, it has tripled its sustainability range to 80,000 products, with 16 per cent of the company's GMV currently generated by the sale of more sustainable products.
