DENBIGHSHIRE – The government of Wales has awarded upwards of £560,000 (US$775,000) to the county of Denbighshire which will fund four new projects addressing waste reduction and reuse.

The finances will support work to increase the county’s collection and recycling infrastructure and capacity, with the ambition of closing the loop on products such as textiles by promoting the reuse and resale of goods.

“The council welcomes this funding which will provide a boost for our town centres as well as supporting the environment by keeping materials in circulation for as long as possible,” said Cllr Brian Jones, Denbighshire Council’s lead member for waste, transport and the environment.
