DHAKA – Bangladeshi suppliers of the US apparel brand Sears will receive a total of US$6.3 million after reaching an agreement with the company’s owner, Transformco, over unpaid orders from last year.
As many as 32 factories rallied behind a lawsuit filed against the company which claimed that between January and March of last year, exports to the tune of US$40m went unpaid as Sears retracted orders amidst the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.
