ARNHEM - Japanese tech and fibres firm Teijin Group has established a new research and development centre in the Netherlands to explore sustainable solutions across its business interests.
The company says its new European Sustainable Technology Innovation Center (ESTIC), in Arnhem, will act as an R&D hub to facilitate collaboration among researchers across borders.
ESTIC will also be tasked with developing all new businesses that leverage the lifecycle capabilities of Teijin’s core materials and new green materials to support the global circular economy. This includes efforts to reduce CO2 emissions and to stimulate the hydrogen economy.
