MUNICH - The TÜV SÜD technical testing organisation in Germany has launched a vegan product certification for producers of apparel, footwear and home textiles wanting to show off their animal welfare credentials.
The certification ensures that the final textile or leather products do not contain animal-derived materials through a series of material composition tests as well as audits and monitoring of the production process.
The final goal is to make it easier and more reliable for consumers to purchase vegan products, with an increasing number looking for clothing, footwear and home textile products that do not contain animal products.
