LONDON - The British Fashion Council (BFC) has announced the first flagship research project from its Institute of Positive Fashion (IPF) which will focus on fast-tracking circularity in the industry.
The Waste Ecosystem Project will explore solutions for how the fashion and textiles industry can responsibly manage inventory, reduce waste and adopt circular practices.
It will aim to outline proposals for change across the whole value chain, as well as other key areas including education and training, textile waste collection and recycling infrastructure, recycling innovations, upcycling and consumer behaviour.
