LONDON – Fashion retailer Selfridges has partnered with clothing rental platform Hurr Collective to launch its own retail service which will host more than 100 items from more than 40 brands.
Available to take away for 4, 8, 10 or 20 days, shoppers can capitalise on discounted prices to bag garments for short timeframes which encourages a circular economy, and that of brands and retailers taking responsibility for their product.
Hurr Collective’s founder, Victoria Prew, commented: “Sustainability has been at the forefront of Selfridges’ focus from the very beginning and for us that is really important. Selfridges for us has just always been one step ahead of the curve in terms of new trends – renting being one of them.”
