RANDE - Danish fashion brand Bestseller has signed agreements with two groups in India – representing about 2,000 organic cotton farmers – to secure a transparent and direct supply for the 2020/2021 season.
The company, which last year joined the Organic Cotton Accelerator (OCA), expects to source 1,500 tonnes of organic cotton - enough to make three million t-shirts - direct from farmers through the deals.
Bestseller will also be participating in OCA’s Farm Engagement & Development (FED) projects in 2020/21 in India which is the world’s leading producer of organic cotton.
