DELAWARE - The Better Buying initiative - which works to improve purchasing practices in global supply chains - has published guidelines for companies to support their suppliers during the coronavirus pandemic.
It comes after the non-profit, which is funded by the C&A Foundation and Humanity United, carried out a survey of suppliers in 39 counties about the challenges they were facing.
The survey found that factories were facing a "devastating range of issues" stemming from unilateral decisions made by buyers without regard for the resulting impacts on their suppliers.
