COWES - Belgian dissolvable thread manufacturer Resortecs has joined the Ellen MacArthur Foundation's Circular Economy 100 (CE100) network of companies which have committed to working towards a circular economy.
The Ghent-based company provides heat-based dismantable stitching threads and rivets for easy disassembly of textile products which makes for the easy reuse, repair and recycling of garments.
Used for seams and attaching trimmings, such as zippers, buttons and fasteners, the thread - which can be used on existing industral sewing machines - simply dissolves when exposed to heat.
