LENZING – The Lenzing Group has completed the production of its second pilot plant dedicated to the manufacture of Tencel Luxe, a lyocell filament yarn for luxury markets.
The new plant, which became operational in just December, is expected to bolster the company’s production capacities and pre-empts the development of a new commercial production facility at Lenzing’s headquarters in Austria.
“Many luxury brands have already realised what opportunities they have by using this yarn made of the renewable raw material wood. The second pilot plant enables us to further press ahead with opening new areas of application in collaboration with our customers,” noted CEO, Stefan Doboczky.
