DUSSELDORF – Fashion retailer C&A has received approval from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for its plans to reduce its Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions by 30 per cent across all scopes by 2030.
C&A’s GHG reduction targets are in alignment with the Paris Agreement – to limit global warming to well-below 2°C above pre-industrial levels and pursue efforts to limit warming to 1.5°C.
The company says SBTi approval for its plans marks another milestone in the company’s journey to reduce CO2 emissions by sourcing more sustainable materials and responsible management of its supply chain.
