INDIA - Sportswear giant Puma has teamed up with Indian NGO Goonj in a new circular economy initiative in which consumers are encouraged to return their old apparel and footwear in return for discount vouchers on new goods.
Collection boxes have been set up in more than 360 Puma stores across India and will be available until September 10 in the initiative which is also available online.
Puma launched the scheme in partnership with Goonj, the award-winning NGO set up by Indian social entrepreneur Anshu Gupta, which specialises in using urban surplus to trigger grassroots development work.
