BEAVERTON — Sportswear giant Nike has become the latest fashion and apparel firm to sign the UN Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action, with the company stating: “In the race against climate change, there isn’t a moment to lose.”
The Charter, which was launched last year by the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change in collaboration with various apparel sector stakeholders (including Nike’s sporting goods rival Puma), aims to unite the fashion industry behind binding goals to tackle climate change.
